A night to remember

The night before Valentine's day we went to a couple's party. (sorry the post is so late). The party was a blast! We found the some people in this group are a little competitive (not me of course:)) and some people don't know when enough is enough (again, of course not me!) The cutest couple there (hee, hee) We played this game where the wife write a poem with specific given words while the husband sketches a profile picture of the wife. Let's just say this gets interesting. Here's my profile picture. I had the hardest time coming up with a poem. I'm not too creative! Here's the profile pictures all spread out: ok women, good luck finding the one of you! I'm whispering my poem to Kristen to get it approved. Let's just say it wasn't too tasteful. Here's the rest of the crowd embarrassed and shocked by what I said. I'm feeling a little ashamed. The next game was fun but a little tricky with this many people. A spoon was placed in the middle of the floor and then a song was played. If you knew the song you would grab the spoon and say what it was. I'm kinda hidden here, but I got the spoon!!! I had to: it was our song! My good friend Emily was one of my main competitors: she was very proud to get the spoon here. I just love this photo! Finally, what's a party without food!!! Everyone brought a dessert and they were all so yummy! I brought a brownie crusted dessert pizza. It was all so yummy! Thanks for a fun night Kristen and Kedra! Good luck to us next year since Kristen has to move away...so sad!!!

A Day For Love

Okay, so these pictures are horrible, maybe it's time for a new camera!:):):) Saturday morning the family woke up to love letters (thanks Colleen for the idea). I think I'll make it a yearly tradition. I made cards for each kids with their picture on it and then wrote them a memorable love letter, including Brett! They loved them!!! We don't usually do too much for Valentine's day so later that night Brett and I went to dinner and a movie. It was kinda sad actually. Since Restaurants are sooo cool and don't take reservations and we weren't going to wait an hour and a half we ended up at one of my not so favorite places: Applebees. At least the movie was good: Taken. A little sad for me but a great movie. I hope everyone else had a fabulous Valentine's day and spent it with the ones they love. Jayden is such a stinker!! I wouldn't give her any vday candy, so when I went into the kitchen she quickly climbed on the table and stuffed a ton in her mouth!!! She is such a monkey!!! Gotta love her:)

Curious?

This past Thursday the girls and I went to the Seattle Children's Museum with some friends from church. They had a Curious George Display, which is what brought us down to Seattle. Rachel brought her friend Julia and and Jayden just had a blast exploring. Here are a few photos from our fun. Sorry they're mostly of Jayden. It was hard to get Rachel because she was everywhere at once! My favorites are the ones with Rachel and her friend at the grocery store...it looks like they're really shopping! Sorry so many photos, they're mostly for my benefit (and the Grandma's).

What's that big bright round thing in the sky?

It's the SUN! We took advantage of the sunshine and played outside for a LONG time after lunch. The kids were so excited and happy: Jayden didn't even want to come inside, that's a first. Rachel had a friend over and of course I was watching Jordan, so they had tons of fun. Although Jayden was not fond of the bike! I also had to include a couple photos of Jayden in her cute little beanie, plus she's 17 months old...eek!!!!

It's that time again

To visit Preschool! Brett and I went to preschool with Rachel today and had sooo much fun! We exercised, had story time, coloring, snack, and we even got to act out Peter Pan. Enjoy the slide show...don't get too jealous:):):)

Good-Bye's!

It's always hard to say good-bye to those you are about. I had to do it twice within three days. This past weekend we flew out to Utah for my Grandpa Hanson's funeral. He was such a sweet, kind man and it's hard to see him go. He was 95 years old and his wife passed about a year ago, so I guess he's in bliss right now:):) Love you Grandpa!! The last time I saw Grandpa was this summer: Doesn't he look good?! I also said a temporary good-bye to a dear friend of mine. Her husband works for Boeing and they have an amazing opportunity to move to Italy for 1 year! I'm a little jealous, but very happy for her. I'm going to miss her greatly!!!! There might be a slight chance that I can visit her though!!! I've been looking and will keep looking for cheap airfare to Italy...if all goes well I could be in Italy too! I don't have any pictures of just Carlie and me, but here is a photo you've seen before from Twilight. Carlie is in the front on the right. We are all going to miss you Carlie!!!

Help!

I'm being attacked by legos and toys! It all started with an innocent picnic on the floor and somehow it turned into this... Rachel thought I looked so cool that she wanted to try it herself! I love her in Brett's hat, she is too cute! And of course I have to add a cute photo of Jayden getting too big! Rachel is such a sweet big sister! I'm always finding her reading to Jayden (that's what she likes best!)

Lights!

Due to the invasion of the snow, we were unable to go see Christmas lights! Thankfully, The Bellevue Botanical Gardens understands that and is keeping their lights up until January 11th. Last night we took the girls in the freezing weather to take a peek at the beautiful lights. No, these aren't Christmas themed, but they are pretty, although I must say that I'm glad I didn't have to pay to see these. We'll have to try and find some spectacular lights next year. Any Suggestions? I had to include this one of Brett: too funny! I love the spider and Rachel in the car wearing my hat. She is soo precious!
