Team Edward!

It finally came!!!!! I've seen Twilight, and I'm ready to see it again!

I headed up a team of about 23 people to take om the challenge of seeing Twilight! Some of us started at Applebees (because of the cover), and others ate closer to the theater. I think they were nervous about getting good seats! Applebees was a blast and even our waiter looked like a vampire (I'm so not even kidding; it was a little weird). We then arrived to the theater at about 8:20: our movie started at 10pm. As expected there was already a line, but it wasn't too bad. We sat in line and soon it was a little crazy; people came from out of nowhere and the line turned huge! Our big group was separated unfortunately but we all had great seats once in the theater. I only wish we had all sat together. It was a little hectic thought with girls running around the theater trying to find seats:):):) As soon as the theater darkened screams were heard everywhere, and yes even part of our group was screaming. It was very exciting! The movie of course was not as good as the book. but I loved it anyway. Some friends and I decided we should direct the next Twilight movie though! Odds & Ends!

One more post before Twilight: then I can leave Twilight up for a while:):):) My cousin Michelle and I went to the Michale McClean Forgotten Carols together. I love them and it's always fun to go. Now I am in the mood for Christmas and for all the right reasons. What a great way to start the holiday season! Okay, one more post about Rachel's birthday, sorry! Her friend Shilo wasn't able to make it to her party so we went to Ruby's Diner together. It was a first for us and we had lots of fun. Shilo gave Rachel this Tinkerbell art kit and Rachel has been hooked on it since, thanks Shilo! I just love this pose from Jayden, and the outfit! Next to her is the boy I watch, Jordan. They have quite the good time together! And here's a shot with the jacket on; isn't she just precious. Can you believe she's already 14 months old???!?!?!?

Will the party never end?!

I promise, this will be the last post on Rachel's birthday!!!! On her actual birthday we like to go out to eat as a family, but this time, Grandma was leaving for Texas for two months, so we went out twice!

We all went to Sharis for an 8am breakfast where Rachel received yet another present! She was sooo excited to get: Barbie and the Diamond Castle Barbie doll. I think she is an official Barbie fanatic. I will not let this get out of hand, no worries! Here's Rachel and her Grandma Taz with the AMAZING Barbie!

Later that day we went to Applebees for lunch (Rachel's choice) Here is Rachel in her cute birthday outfit and of course the stinkin Barbie doll!

Rachel was so happy to get a free ice cream sundae for her birthday; she was one happy girl!

Rachel received her last gift here at Applebees: Tickets to the Nutcracker! Rachel and I don't go until December 13th and she keeps asking me: "Is it today mom?" I think this will be a good day to break out a special calendar for a Nutcracker countdown! Next Post: TWILIGHT!!!!!!! Are we excited or what!!!!!!!!!?????!?!?!?!?!?

Celebration with Family!

Saturday night we had family over to celebrate some more!! We had Rachel's favorite dinner: Hootnanny pancakes (thanks Lowe family for introducing those to us!). We served them with fresh fruit and whipped cream, bacon and juices! It was sooo yummy, I ate WAY too much!

I didn't make any cake because we already had some earlier, and the pancakes were so sweet, but family vetoed that idea, and chocolate cupcakes were made!

Celebration with Friends!

Rachel is turning 5 on Thursday, but we celebrated early before the holidays and other crazy days got in the way! On Saturday Rachel had 15 friends come over for a dance party. They had soooo much fun, I just wish we had a bigger space for all of those kids!

Dad made Rachel a special cake for the big day: Ballet Slippers!

Trick-or-Treat

We headed over to the Mill Creek Town Center this year for a little Trick-or-Treating! Not that we don't like our neighborhood, but not every house gives out candy, and no one has any games to play. However, we went a little later than last year, and it was packed!!! Police men were directing traffic; it was a little crazy. Next year we're definitely going as soon as it starts! After finally finding a parking space I took a photo of the kiddos, aren't they cute?! Central Market is on of my favorite grocery stores, and they always have fun games for the kids to play, and of course lots of free candy when you're done! Here's Rachel at the bean bag toss. Rachel getting yet more candy from one of the local stores. Most stores participate, but there were a few that did not. IT's very well lit and I feel my kids are safe here. Rachel doing the water bottle knock down. Good arm, and she's not even left handed! Here she had to feel what was inside the box and guess what it could be. Something slimey of course! This was so funny. Her very first shot at trying top shoot a basket, and her halo comes right off! Unfortunately in the allotted time of 2 minutes, she didn't make any baskets! Thank goodness the other boy didn't either:) Another bean bag toss, but since this was a pumpkin it must have been sooo much cooler because the line was quite long. Me and the kiddos. No I didn't dress up , and those pants aren't too flattering either...time to toss them! Although I love the color of the pin stripes! After we got home, Rachel was so excited that she wanted to go trick-or-treating around our neighborhood. Of course I let her go, but I wasn't allowed near the door. I had to wait at the sidewalk! It's starting already; she's not old enough for this kind of behavior! I hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween!!! It's time for us to go through our candy: keep the good stuff and give away the rest!
