Rachel thought she would be pretty clever and cut her hair at school. How did she get away with it you ask? Well, the teacher was working one on one with a student for a few minutes and Rachel thought that would be the perfect opportunity to hide under the table and cut ALL OF HER HAIR!!!
I got the phone call and teacher was in worse shape than Rachel. She was almost in tears because she felt so bad. When I went tot he school I saw Rachel and all I could say was, "are you serious?" At that, Rachel started crying...she was so sad! I'm not usually one of those mom's that overreact and I didn't. I just talked to her and told her how shocked and confused I was. Apparently there is a girl in the class with short hair and Rachel decided she wanted to look like her, so away she chopped!! She actually did an ok job in the front, but not so good in the back! Needless to say when we went in to get it fixed, a few days later mind you as punishment!, they to cut it even shorter due to Rachel's fine skills of uneven cutting! Here's the pictures!
Not too bad, right?
I guess this was also a form of punishment, although I really think her guilty feelings were punishment enough.
And the cool back with the tail, oh yeah!
I didn't really get an after shot, so here's one of her at her b-day party, which I'll be posting soon!
You're still beautiful Rachel!!

Trick or Treat!
Since Brett had to work Halloween night, my brother Lance and his wife came over to help with trick or treating!
They dressed up as characters from the movie Bolt! They look so stinkin cute!
Uncle Lance and Jayden
Rachel and mom: notice her awesome hair!!
trick or treat, smell my feet...
This was hilarious! Someone left this bowl on their front porch and Rachel was so hesitant to reach into it. The hand didn't get her,
but it got Jayden and she FREAKED!! It was so funny we almost fell down laughing! I know, nice mom, uh?
After an hour of trick or treating in the rain with umbrellas we finally went to the last house: ours! A little tired I think!
My little Jayden!
The kids with some of their loot. Grandma and Grandpa stole some of course:):) Now time to relax and watch part of the movie: BOLT!
Happy Halloween!!

School Carnival (in part)
Rachel was ecstatic to go to the carnival! Brett was glad he could go for a short while, but when he left for work, he accidentally took the camera with him, which is why it took so long to post. He finally remembered to bring it home:):)
We started at our class booth: The Treasure Chest!
Jayden and mom right before she pulled out some treasure!
The wicked witch and her hat stealer: dad! Pretty cute, uh?
Rachel's most favorite booth: basketball. I never knew she liked it so much!
bean bag toss
Rachel fishing
so of course Jayden had to follow!
Rachel on the cake walk. After playing this game multiple times throughout the day, she finally won!!
Bouncy house time!
I love happy kids!
This is a friend of mine at the hair color booth. Rachel went later to get her hair colored. You'll have to wait to see what color it is on the trick or treat post...since the camera disappeared!
Tossing the ring on corn. I'm glad Rachel only played this and won once. The prize: a liter of pop. Seriously?????
Rachel getting me some cotton candy. I shared of course.
Once Jayden figured out how yummy it was she just kept stuffing it in her mouth!! Too cute!
After 3 hours!!!!! Rachel was finally ready to go home! We all took a little rest before trick or treating!

Pumpkin carving fun!
Halloween morning came and our pumpkins still were not carved...so we quickly carved them before Rachel's school carnival!
The girls waiting for dad to cut the top off so they could get busy!
Jayden thought she would try using a spoon to hurry the process to no avail.
success!
Time to dig the guts...this is seriously my FAVORITE part!!! It grosses Rachel out!
Rachel carefully pulling seeds out while
Jayden stirs them up:)
Brett starting on Rachel's pumpkin.
I start mine, I mean Jayden's:)
The final product: I was supposed to have a vampire pumpkin but I don't think I carved too well. I get impatient!
Rachel's heart and triangle eye pumpkin. Where did all those little pumpkins come from you ask? Suffice to say, our pumpkins got BUSY!!!

Kindergarten Party!
Preface: Today I was at the park with an amazing friend and I commented on some cute pictures on her blog. She replied saying she would have put more on there but she didn't want to post too many pictures. I asked her "you mean like me?" No comment. Here's to you Emily!
I was mostly in charge of this party since no one else wanted to:):) The girls had a great time and I can't wait for the Holiday party!
Rachel's teacher Mrs Ryan. I love catching people off guard. She wasn't too pleased with the outcome or the fact that I told her it was going on my blog, but she's a good sport!
I know this isn't the greatest photo, but I love the fact that Jayden fits right in with the rest of the class. The other siblings clung to their moms, but Jayden was ready to learn, or play:)
Rachel's class photo. Notice the cool treasure chest poster in the background: Brett mostly made that and then I had the kids decorate it with jewels. It was for our booth at the carnival. It turned out sooo cute!!
Rachel seriously could not contain her excitement!
Rachel and her best friend Julia heading out on the school parade.
The class coming back from the parade and ready to play at their stations!
Station one: fall tree lunch bags to carry home thier goodies from the day.
station two: bean bags and bowling (more to come)
Station three: decorating sugar cookies and then eating them with juice. (who thought if this sugar station? wasn't me:))
Jayden partaking of the sugar.
Rachel too of course!
Station four: Rachel decorating her Halloween card (not my fav. station)
station five: pumpkin story books. Rachel of course finds the need to talk while working!
Beautiful Dorothy!
Dorothy and mom!
Rachel pumpkin bowling!
I find it interesting that when a sibling comes to class they are the most sought after child in the room. Rachel felt the need to protect Jayden. It was really sweet!
