Our AWESOME Daddy!

On Rachel's last day of school, they had doughnuts for dad's. here are the two cuties! Father's Day was kind of tricky. WE have 9am church, home by 12:20 and then Brett leaves at 1:30 to go to work. We were able to make Brett french toast for breakfast on the high chair tray, brilliant right? The girls also made him cards, which he loved. Aren't they just cute? We love you daddy! Thanks for being so loving and fun and always willing to put anything aside for your girls! You're the best!

Grad Party

I know you all think I'm crazy, but these people really are family:):):) Ashleigh had a pretty fun graduation party after graduating high school last week. Her mom and I went shopping for the food together and I came early to help set up, so it sort of felt like this was my girl graduating. Thankfully I have more than a few years to go! Here's the goofball Ashleigh sporting her cool 2010 glasses and showing off her oh so styling banner! The dessert table: cookie/brownie platter, lemon cakes (my faves), mini cheesecakes (not my faves), cream puffs, bundt cake, carrot cake and fruit with a chocolate fountain! You can't really tell from this awesome blurry picture, but there is a frame of pictures starting with Ashleigh in kindergarten up to senior year. Too cute! Her school colors were blue and green so we got jelly bellies and I made yummy jell-o popcorn to match:) The main food: green salads, pasta salads, potato salads, chips and dip, veggie tray, lemonade:) BBQ outside: chicken kabobs, spare ribs, brats, hot dogs and cheeseburgers! Needless to say there was plenty of food and I had more than my fair share of it! Me and Ashleigh! Ashleigh and her mom, although her mom looks like her friend here....so not fair!:):):) Ashleigh and the girls with their new friend Emily. They pretty much lived on that trampoline all day!! Ashleigh opening cards from everyone...notice Rachel has to be part of everything. I think she's Ashleigh's shadow! We love you Ashleigh!! Congratulations Girl!!

Field Trip!

Rachel had her first field trip the day before school got out. I must say I was a little disappointed that we went to The Children's Museum, but what's a girl to do? Rachel had a blast so I guess that's all that matters:) This was Rachel's first time on a bus and she was so extremely excited she could hardly contain herself. It looks like she finally settled down:) A small portion of our group of 4 kindergarten classes awaiting to hear the instructions to go play. Suspense!! First stop: learning about trees! Did you know that cashews grew on a fruit tree and there's only one cashew on the bottom of each piece of fruit? No wonder they're so expensive. I guess you learn something new everyday! Now time to make paper...out of PAPER and water:):):) Too cool! And off to play! Rachel loves to sing and dance so naturally this was where she headed first! Everyone wanted tocontrol the lights and sounds. Surprisingly there was no fighting:) Our little chef! She really does LOVE to cook and bake with me. She even loves watching Giada on the food network! water craziness! Our super styling construction worker: Rachel! One shot of mom in there. WE had a good time and I loved being with just Rachel!

Graduate 2010

My good friend Elena's daughter had her graduation ceremony Sunday night (weird, uh?). They invited me to come and I was more than happy to go. Ashleigh is my soul mate:) I couldn't get a good picture of her sitting because it was too dark, so I settled for a shot of the empty seats:) Ashleigh and her best friend Melia Ashleigh and her other good friend Anna Ashleigh with the coolest person on the planet!:):):) Congrats Ashleigh! Can't wait for the big party!

Rachel'l lost her first tooth!

I cannot begin to tell you how long Rachel has been waiting to lose a tooth! When she first noticed her bottom tooth was loose, she would not leave it alone until it was so loose I just barely tugged on it and out it came! The tooth fairy was too kind and gave her $5!!! Also, there was a note saying that only the first tooth would get $5 and the other teeth would be $1. She make just break the bank!:):):) A few days after her first tooth came out her front ooth was loose and within a matter of 2 days it was also out. Go Rachel! Rachel with her front tooth...can you just see the excitement? you sure can't see the tooth in that shiny Ziploc bag:) Jayden really wanted her picture taken with Rachel's tooth, so here she is. Too cute! And of course Rachel always has to throw in an awesome pose!

Famous Dave's

I don't normally blog about date night, but this time we went some friends that we haven't seen in a while:) We had such a blast and feel blessed to know them! We went to Famous Dave's and this is why: yummy!!! Our fun friends Torrie and John She's almost as crazy as me! Brett and I trying not to smile too big:) The whole gang! Thanks for a fun evening! We should do it again soon!!

Kindergarten Concert!

Rachel and the other kindergartners put a super cute concert for us parents! Unfortunately my camera does not take good close up shots in the gym, so just bear with me:):) See Rachel with her hands straight up? Yes, she was awesome! They did so many action songs which was great and kept the concert fun. Go Rachel! All the kindergartners!! Rachel and me in her classroom afterwards. Brett and Jayden also went and LOVED it, but no pictures:):)

New Room

The quilts and decals are finally up in the girl's room! now all I need are decorative pillows and curtains:) cute quilts and a fun border Fun tree I love these mushrooms, I don't know why, they are just super cute! I also love the owl:):) The room feels so peaceful! Love it!

Memorial Day

For Memorial day we had a couple friends over to celebrate. (and eats lots of yummy food!) Ashleigh thought the size of my pineapple was funny, so I snapped a photo of her loving it:) The food, almost gone: Baby back ribs, watermelon, potato salad, pasta salad, chips, dip and lemonade:) Brain (Lance's friend), Lance and Angela. The weather decided to let us go outside for a while:):) Ashleigh, Rachel, my mom and Jayden. The fun table! Bradlee and Elena. He decided to bring some brats, so he had to grill them!:) My honey and me! The yummy dessert! Chocolate chip, mini M&M and marshmallow cookie crust with marshmallows and chocolate melted on top...sort of like smore's:):):) Sooo yummy!!! I have some cute shots of the girls on my mom's camera. Now if only her card would let me download them!!! Oh well, I'll have to blog about that later:):):)

We're eating Dinosaurs!

Rachel just finished learning about dinosaurs in school so my mom brought over this dinosaur cake pan and we made a cake. It actually doesn't look that cute, but the girls loved it! Rachel thought it would be cool to claw at the cake like a dinosaur! So then Jayden tried and got her fingers in the frosting:):):) I wasn't too motivated to decorate so this is all it got. Poor dinosaur! It sure was yummy though!!
