Okay, so I hope all these posts aren't too overwhelming. My sister is here visiting from Arizona. She comes every year for about a month to get away from the heat:) Following are a few of the fun things we've been doing: the weather has been pretty cooperative!! Thanks Seattle. Enjoy all the pictures (sorry so many pictures are my life...and this isn't even the beginning!!) I might have a few more things to post. She leaves Wednesday:(:(:(:( I'm sure we'll squeeze in a few more fun activities!

Boardman Lake
Boardman Lake is about an hour drive from our house (20 minutes to drive the 5 miles up the gravel road). The hike is easy and the lake is beautiful!!! It is usually very warm at this time of year, but there was snow around the lake and it only hit about 70 degrees that day, but we still enjoyed time with each other. weather doesn't seem to bother the little ones:)
Emily with the kids ( Rachel now wants to trade moms. I'm no longer good enough!)

The water was pretty cold but the girls didn't seem to care!
Cutie !
We dared my mom to go under water and this was the priceless expression when she came up: keep in mind there was still snow on the side of the lake!!!

Jetty Island!
Jetty is a yearly tradition for our family. It is man made pile of sand in the water:):):) The kids love it, and the tide is always perfect, as well as the water!!! Too much fun!
Rachel thought she was pretty brave. All the boys were jumping, so she wanted to do it to!
Digging for mini shrimp!
Jayden asleep on my mom (she's not always sleeping, I promise!)
Now Jayden is awake and Rachel is out cold!!!

Pretty close to us is a great park with a petting zoo, horse rides, toys and a spray park. It was too cold for the spray park, but we enjoyed the rest!

Utah Trip!
We finally decided to take a trip to Utah...DRIVING! We did good though. Brett drove through the night and the kids slept! The quiet was very nice. We started our trip with Brett's friends the Matthews. My favorite part was Rodizio's : yummy food & all you can eat (a Brazilian grill!!! ). I also had a chance to see some friends that used to live in Seattle: the girls had fun being princesses and dancing and singing (see you soon Mindy!). The next stop was Logan to see my dad and grandpa. We also had a small family reunion, went to park city and did some swimming. On the way home we stopped at my grandma & grandpa McGill's house for dinner. They didn't want us to go but we had to leave. The best part of our adventure however was in Logan. My dad took us on an EASY 8 mile hike to a lake, or so we thought. the trail was steep, Rachel was tired and after treking the 4 miles up we wondered if we would ever get down! I had Jayden in a backpack while Brett carried Rachel piggy back while she was sleeping all the way down!! (Way to go STUD!) We were done hiking for this trip since I forgot to put sunscreen on again for the hike down. I was the only lucky one and was burned on the backs of my legs and arms. Usually my burn will be gone in the morning, but this one stayed for a week! It is just now gone!!!! Thank goodness for Aloe! All in all it was a good trip and we enjoyed seeing everyone! Now time to party it up with my big sis. who will be here for a month!! I love summer!!!

4th of July BBQ

">
" border="0" alt="" />
After arriving home from Utah we decided to keep 4th of July simple. We had a few friends over for hot dogs and Brats, played and then watched fireworks from home. Our friend Emily had her brother and family in town and Rachel and their little boy were little buds...too cute! As you can see from the last photo, Rachel and Brett missed out on the fireworks, so I had to watch them by my self: what stinkers! God Bless America!

Too Big, Too Fast!
I can't believe it's been 10 MONTHS!!!!!! Jayden is getting way too cute. She is pulling herself on all the furniture and walking around the house that way. She even will let go and stand for a couple seconds before sitting down. She gets excited when she does this and starts laughing. She definitely wants to talk and tries to sing with Rachel. Every morning Rachel goes into Jayden's room and plays with her until I get in there. Jayden LOVES it and would rather have Rachel in there than me. I love it too but at the same time it makes me sad. She's for sure not a baby any more... I guess I need another one! (Come on Brett!) These two pictures are from the 4th...isn't she adorable!?!

Our Hero
We just got home from church and Jayden was NOT in the mood for pictures, this is her I'm mad face! Rachel got Brett his favorite thing: A Ken Barbie!! Now dad can play too! Jayden and I got him a contoured pillow. Happy sleeping Brett.
Again, Jayden REALLY wanted food!
Brett and his dad watching golf. Just like me, Rachel was not impressed; she took a little nap!
Jayden finally got food and now she is fast asleep! This is a first for her!
We had a pretty mellow Father's Day, which is what Brett likes! His dad came up to our house and we had dinner together. Then the boys watched Golf, not my first choice, but they enjoyed it. Earlier before church we gave Brett his presents, but we couldn't make breakfast in bed since he gets home at 7:30 am. Rachel was so happy that it was finally Father's Day so she could give Brett her card and present. She loves her daddy so much much: in her card she thanked him for playing legos with her and scooping poop and mowing the lawn. What a great dad!
