He Lives

I Love this! The real reason for Easter. He Lives

Easter Sunday

This Easter was fabulous! Our family was able to hear from our church's living prophet and then spend the day with our eternal families. Who could ask for more? The girls were very excited to check out their baskets, but of course Rachel woke up first. I bought her some flash cards to help her learn the articles of faith. She was so excited that she had to read them ALL to me that very second! Jayden heard the commotion and came down to find a new church book, "I am a Child of God". She wouldn't stop saying, "look mom, I am a child of God!" Too cute! They also received a new bath towel and 3D puzzles! What a yummy breakfast: candy! This was our real breakfast: homemade cinnamon rolls from Our Best Bites! Sooo Good!!! Later that day we had family over for a super yummy meal!! I made homemade rolls from yet a gain, Our Best Bites and they super light and fluffy! I think I've found a new roll recipe! WE also had asparagus, but I forgot to set them out for the picture, darn! Our Best Bites was my hero today as I also got this yummy recipe from there! Mint brownies...sooooo yummy!!!! My family wouldn't stop eating them! The girls at their little table. They thought they were pretty special to get their own table! The family: Lance, Aunt Sherri, Grandma Taz, Dad, Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Bob! My little sweetie Jayden! Rachel was jealous and had to have her picture taken too! I don't mind! Rachel is explaining to her Uncle Lance how to have an Easter Egg hunt! Too funny! Brett had to hold VERY still for this hunt! We decided to take the hunt outside, since it wasn't raining. Gasp!! I think Lance and Grandpa Bob had more fun hiding the eggs than the girls did finding them:) Time to hunt! Eggs Galore! Everywhere! Rachel is tricky when getting her eggs. She even found the one up high!! Happy Easter!

My pretty girls!

We went with a yellow theme this year for Easter dresses and the girls just looked too stinkin cute!! Since our church has conference today (Easter), these were taken last Sunday, and after church even!! I know this isn't the best picture of me, but I had to get in there with my girls:) Aren't they beautiful? They would not simmer down to get a good shot of the two of them. And they're dresses are so wrinkled. I DID iron them before church, but to no avail! aahhhhhh... cute!!! I LOVE this one!

How many eggs can you find?

Preface: our camera was low on batteries and Brett was taking photos...enough said:) Our church put on a fabulous Easter activity/hunt day! The girls had a blast! Here's Rachel doing her way of the limbo! Jayden would NOT put that sign down!! We were in charge of the apple group and Jayden was very proud to hold the sign for me:) At one station a teacher told the story of Easter and then they had relay race...Jayden just wanted to hold her race object, poor team:) and then came the sugar cookie decorating station! Jayden was in haeven!! Off to hunt some eggs! I ope Jayden can find enough. There were 1900 to choose from!! She thought she would go in the woods to try and find the more hidden eggs! So adventurous!

I can't believe I went short!

The girls got their hair cut the other day, and Rachel was just getting hers trimmed up again after her "incident", but Jayden's hair saw some major changes! Jayden was not too happy! Look how short!! and blurry:):):) don't worry, you'll be seeing more photos of her new cut in posts to come! I love how Jayden is looking at Rachel in this picture! My beautiful Rachel! Thanks Chandra!

St. Patty's Day!

Jayden and I had a fun green celebration at her friend Josh's house!! She started out finding the first clue to a treasure! Josh finally found the treasure and the kids were so excited! They each received their own bag of gold (rolos) doesn't she look cute? Jayden and Jack couldn't wait to open their candy! yum! There was some coloring. And sugar cookie decorating!! Look at those skills! I think she enjoyed this a little too much! yep, I think she did:):):) Next we had dancing and... games! Since it was such a nice day out we all decided to take a little jaunt down to the park. Jayden and Ethan held hands the whole way...too sweet! Emily took turns swinging kids around... and got winded!! It was awesome!! Thanks everyone for making our Saint Patty's Day oh so fabulous!

A visit from Grandpa!

My dad came to visit last month (yes, I know I'm a slacker!!). The girls had so much fun with him! It was like a personal play date every day!! We had yummy meals every day and read, and played, and even went to the zoo! Here are some pictures of the fun! How many pictures can you upload on one post you might ask? I don't know, but there are a lot here, so beware!! One of Rachel's favorite things to do is reading! She almost always insists on reading to us, but every now and again someone else can read to her. I have to say I'm very proud of her! She just reads so well!! The girls also love to play with play dough! I think Grandpa was having fun too! And now, off to the zoo! This was Jayden's favorite: The Owl! I know you can't really see them, but she knows they're there! Rachel's favorite: the flamingos! Why??? Because they're pink she says! Jayden wasn't in her stroller much, she'd rather be pushing it! Some classics: The giraffes and zebras! we tried to get one good family shot...but there was so much sun!! (I'm not complaining though!) can you tell what this is? A lion on his back basking in the sun! The girls are just too cute! The girls were so excited they got to ride Aslan, so Rachel told me:) Elephants are always popular with the kids too! They're my mom's favorite! Dad with is girls! a cute little kangaroo!! You can't really tell, but Rachel is petting snake here...too cool!!! Finally to the fun part! They play area:):) Rachel couldn't decide which book to read first, or should she do the puzzles? Jayden didn't really hatch out of this egg...but it makes for a cute picture! while waiting to go to the bathroom, Jayden and this little girl thought they would check out this log. What's so interesting in there? SNAKES!!! They loved them! Jayden was having a blast!! the boys just chillin! I didn't catch it, but Brett and my dad fell asleep here:):) Rachel was ecstatic about this slide!! You can't tell from the picture, but it goes up fairly high. You have to climb up on kind of an obstacle course to get there! So cool! Our little monkey! Have you ever seen a monkey on an elephant?:) Mommy and Jayden finally leaving the zoo. It was a long day, but the kids had a blast! I love picture of Jayden with her dad and grandpa. I wish the lighting was better and my camera was better, but it's still cute! (no, this is not at the zoo, but the library. I was trying to sneak it in!) I always love going to the zoo, but it also makes me a little sad for the animals. I know, I'm such a wimp!! Thanks for a great visit dad!! The girls are already talking up your next one!!!:):):)
