Disneyland Day 1: Warning! Pictures ahead!

Last year we told the girls that we wanted to take them to Disneyland, but we would need their help. They were really good and only had play dates with cake for their birthdays and no presents. Also, Christmas was very small so that we could save for Disneyland. I was very impressed with their willingess to do this and their patience!

Before we left their Grandma Taz had a special surprise for them: new princess dresses!! They both loved Belle's dress, one of her ball gown and one of her winter dress. They fit the girls perfectly and they couldn't wait to wear them at our lunch with the princesses!

The girls were in love with their beds! It was so exciting to have their own side by side and a tv in their room! Spoiled! They got a good nights rest for the big day:)
Rachel was super excited when we got inside!
The first ride of the day! Rachel was almost crying after...the poor thing. My girls are just a little more low key!
So, we went to fantasyland and saw some princesses!
This was their favorite part by far! Meeting the princesses and getting their autograph!

Jayden's favorite ride of the day was the carousel. I could have stayed home for that!

Rachel had  such a fun time. She got cotton candy and she was able to be the narrator for one of the rides! IT was so awesome!! Since we went on a Wednesday there was hardly anyone there and it was perfect!
Brett's dad and his girlfriend joined us for part of the day. They were brave and went on the teacups with the girls. Brett and I were getting sick just watching them! We're such wimps!

This was so funny! While in toon town we got more autographs and Goofy attacked Rachel. She loved it, but Jayden would have nothing to do with it!

We all got caught in jail, but thank goodness it was easy to escape!

Rachel and her dad went on this super fun roller coaster. This was the one ride where there was a line...weird! Rachel loved it!

We had dinner at this fun BBQ where they performed while we ate:) It was so yummy and very entertaining!

Rachel was brave and went on Thunder Mountain with Brett. She thought she would be scared but she wasn't! Here's a picture with the grandparents by Thunder Mountain.

Our last rides of the evening were the rockets and cars. For some reason my camera (or the user) was having issues! Jayden LOVED the cars too and added to her favorites list!

Now time for the hotel so we can rest for Sea World!

Easter part 3

Easter dinner is always nice and yummy! One of my favorite parts of any holiday is always the food!
Lance was in a hurry to try the scalloped potatoes...I hope they didn't disappoint!

Our traditional dinner is ham potatoes and veggies. This year I did a salad and butternut squash along with homemade rolls!

The dessert was a dark chocolate raspberry truffle cup with a cookie crust. A little rich, but oh so tasty!

Easter part 2

I thought I would be a good homemaker this year and sew the girls' Easter dresses. It was a lot of work, but a lot of fun too! They turned out pretty well, thanks to my tutor Heidi Fairbanks:)

Rachel and Jayden picked out their own material which is why they don't even coordinate...but they loved their dresses:):)

I also made my skirt, which didn't turn out quite like I planned. You win some, you lose some and then keep on trying:)

Easter part 1

We started this year a new tradition. We gave the kids their basket on Saturday instead of Sunday and also did the big Easter egg hunt on Saturday. It was wonderful!

Rewind: Jayden and Rachel had gotten a week before some fun Lego's. Jayden got a Snow White set and Rachel got...

 a Vet Lego Friends set
So...when we bought their Easter basket toy we bought Rachel more Lego Friends to go with her set and Jayden has been wanting a Rapuzel, so that's what she got!
I guess you could say they were excited Saturday morning!
After the basket fun we got ready to go to the big Easter egg hunt at the middle school. It's basically an open field filled with eggs. The kids went crazy!!
Jayden was a pretty happy camper!

We met up with our friends the Nedry's and the kids patiently waited for the next round!
Brett has some friend with Kate, our third adopted child:):)

The kids took off as soon as they could and just went for it. It was seriously the craziest thing to watch!

But they came back with the goodies and opened every egg to see their treasure. Rachel had a slip in one of her eggs for a nice soccer ball. That made her day:)
Afterwards we went to La Palmera for lunch, one of Brett's favorite places to eat. Thank goodness the craziness is over:)
